The struggle with greasy hair is something every woman has experienced at some point. Whether you suffer from chronically greasy hair or just haven’t had the time to wash your roots, there are a few tricks you can learn to keep your hair clean and shine-free for longer.
'
1. Use a clear Shampoo and latter at the roots
2. your forehead produces oil, so try keep hair from face
3. Brush hair to distribute natural oil evenly so its not concentrated at the scalp
4. Avoid touching your hair because oil from your hands transfers easily.
5. Stay away from the styling products
This is more of a preventative measure. Sometimes the products we use daily such as heat protectors and hair oils don’t wash out the first time so they start to build up and add to the hair’s natural oils. If styling products are necessary, use a pea size amount at the ends of your hair only.
6. The more you wash, the more you have to wash
Many women think that they can just wash out the greasiness, so they end up washing their hair daily to try to deter it. However, the more you wash your hair, the faster your hair starts to release natural oils. Try extending the periods between hair washes. For the first ten days your hair may feel unusually dirty but after that it will start cooperating.
7. Use A Light Conditioner
When you’re washing your hair adding conditioner – which contains oily ingredients – to already oily roots will only make greasiness worse. Try using a conditioner like Pantene Aqua Light Pro-V conditioner – it moisturises and protects your hair without weighing it down. It also contains Histidine – an ingredient that penetrates the hair fibre to strengthen it from the inside.
8. The final frontier
If you have tried all the above but are still not getting that desired oil-free shine, then it is time to head for the kitchen. Add a quarter glass of lemon juice to a glass of water. Rinse the mixture through your hair in the shower. Try this once a week for three weeks in order to see an improvement.
