Manchester United have completed the world-record £100million signing of Paul Pogba.

The world's most in-demand midfield talent arrives from Juventus, rejoining the club that he left for next to nothing in 2012.

Pogba, 23, is expected to wear the No 6 shirt and has signed a bumper £290,000-per-week, five-year contract to work under Jose Mourinho. There is also the option to extend for a further year.
The deal to bring him to Old Trafford will reach £100m once add-ons and agents' fees are taken into account.

All eyes will be on Pogba as he returns to the Premier League as one of the world's best players
Speaking to the club website, Pogba said: 'I am delighted to rejoin United. It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with Jose Mourinho.
'I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Juventus and have some fantastic memories of a great club with players that I count as friends. But I feel the time is right to go back to Old Trafford.
'I always enjoyed playing in front of the fans and can't wait to make my contribution to the team. This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game.'

Manager Jose Mourinho praised Pogba and believes he will prove a big hit on his return to the club, adding: 'Paul is one of the best players in the world and will be a key part of the United team I want to build here for the future. He is quick, strong, scores goals and reads the game better than many players much older than he is. 'At 23, he has the chance to make that position his own here over many years. He is young and will continue to improve; he has the chance to be at the heart of this club for the next decade and beyond.'

Pogba posted on his Instagram account: ‘Leaving Manchester when I was 18 was a mutual decision between the club and me and the right thing to do at that moment. Now it's time to go back and forward, Old Trafford here I come!
‘My deepest respect to the clubs who considered having me.
‘Juventus will always be a part of me and I will always miss, love and be grateful to the club, the team and especially the supporters. I hope you can respect my decision. The most beautiful part of friendship is to understand and be understood.

‘It is difficult to explain so much in a few lines but I made a decision guided by my heart and nothing else.
‘This transfer took so long because it was a huge decision and involved lots of thinking and work. The wait was as annoying to me as it was to you.
‘To all supporters who wrote on my pages about transfer rumours, I have read you all and thank you for the passionate messages. My apologies for not responding before, by law I could not talk.’
Pogba was driven to United's Aon Training Complex in a Chevrolet Camaro on Monday afternoon to undertake his medical after landing on a flight from Nice having been in New York. He was driven by one of United's security staff.

Pogba was joined in England by his mother Yeo Moriba, who travelled in a different car behind her son heading for Carrington.
His brother Mathias, who plays for Scottish Premiership outfit Partick Thistle, joined his mother in checking into the popular Lowry hotel.
Pogba was later pictured with members of Manchester United's club staff in the laundrette as his world record move neared completion.
United confirmed on Sunday that Juventus had given permission for Pogba to take a medical with them ahead of a deal which Sportsmail understands will go beyond the £100m mark with add-ons and agents' fees taken into account.

It means Pogba is now the world's most expensive footballer, his move to United taking him past the £86m Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Wales superstar Gareth Bale in 2013.

The box-to-box midfielder, still just 23, landed at Manchester Airport on Monday morning after jetting in from New York where he has been on holiday.

The Twitter account for Manchester Airport gave a clue as to his arrival by posting a picture of a private plan landing, with the caption 'an important passenger has just touched down at the airport. Can anyone guess who it might be?'
Pogba left United for Juventus in 2012 having made just seven senior appearances in all competitions, all from the bench

He went on to help Juventus win four Serie A titles and two Italian Cups while he also helped them reach the 2014-15 Champions League final. He helped France finish runners-up at Euro 2016 this summer.
Opening up on the signing of Pogba after Sunday's Community Shield victory over Leicester, United boss Jose Mourinho said: 'United is the perfect club to bring him to the level he wants to be.'

Mourinho added: 'The Premier League is the perfect habitat for that. If you want to be the best player in the world, if you go to Barcelona or Real Madrid you are in trouble because I don't think the other two big guys (Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo) will let you.

'Here he is in the most seen, worldwide, championship which is absolutely incredible, with a team which wants to bring Manchester United to the top again.
'We have everything to give him and we know the reasons why he wants to come to us.
'Money he would get at any big club. He comes because he knows the club, knows the city, many of the players and wants to be an important part of the project.
'Hopefully everything goes well.'
